DDT in Cigarettes?!

Today, I did my daily posting comments on relevant related blogs and websites and I did thorough research on every imaginable subject related to this topic. When I googled chemicals in cigarettes, I was absolutely horrified to discover that DDT is 1 of the known carcinogenic chemicals currently being added to cigarettes! I took a double take and had to re-read it 3 times before I realized that what I was reading is true and accurate! The horrifying toxic soup cocktail of chemicals in cigarettes is a major horrifying nightmare horror alone; even without the DDT.

But to now discover that DDT is included in the toxic soup cocktail is a real horror in itself! I avoid cigarette smoke like the plague and fortunately I have a very strong highly sensitive sense of smell. When I smell the cigarette smoke and when I see people smoking, I quickly run in the opposite direction to avoid having to breathe it! OMG, it's the 21st Century, and with all the current abounding data that presents viable accurate irrefutable arguments against smoking, one would think that smokers would associate more than enough pain and be highly motivated to quit the ugly, nasty habit!

A Lit Cigarette Is A Loaded Gun!

A lit cigarette is a loaded gun for the smoker and for innocent bystander passersby. At first glance, you may just see a long slim rolled up piece of paper with smoke emitting from it, but when you stop and think about what a cigarette contains, you realize that it's far more than just a cigarette. Commercial cigarettes contain a minimum of 1,000 toxic carcinogenic chemicals and that's on the low end. All commercial cigarettes contain arsenic, cyanide, tar, nicotine, formaldehyde, ammonia, and a whole toxic soup of toxic chemicals. These are just a few of the toxic soup of chemicals that are found in a commercial cigarette. Now, think about all the smokers who are smoking these cigarettes and all the innocent bystander passersby who are forced to breathe the horrifying toxic unhealthy secondhand smoke, also known as environmental tobacco smoke, that is emitted from one of these cigarettes.

Next to toxic mainstream adulterated perfume and fragrance, the smoke that emanates from a commercial cigarette is one of the worst things you can possibly be exposed to. It's an asthmatic's worst nightmare and I speak from personal experience because I was raised by a family that was full of smokers and it's a miracle that I am able to breathe today! Please do the right thing and kick the nasty ugly habit and help your loved ones to do the same thing! If you don't smoke, good for you and please don't ever be tempted to light up! Go run around the block or exercise or clean your house instead, but please don't smoke! Be kind to your lungs and those around you.

Non-Smokers' Rights

It's been a few months since I created this blog and wrote my ebook and it seems that much has happened on the anti-smoking non-smokers rights front. One thing I'm very happy to see is the ongoing continuous fight to breathe clean fresh smoke-free air and enact stronger tougher laws that prohibit public smoking. Many people will say that it's more about smokers' rights than non-smokers' rights, but the truth is that smokers can go anywhere they want without worrying about if they're going to be able to breathe or not. I've met very few smokers who recognize they have an ugly nasty habit and are personally suffering from their own ugly addiction. For the most part, smokers appear unaffected by all the poisons they're smoking. We non-smokers are the true sufferers. We have to put up with all the horrifying toxic poisons smokers are putting out in the air and are forcing we non-smokers to breathe.

When I need to go into a market to buy something and I see smokers standing within a few feet of the store entrance, puffing away, I have to cover my mouth to protect myself, and run inside very fast just to be able to breathe and not get sick from the horrifying environmental tobacco smoke, secondhand smoke! It is truly a horrifying nightmare and the best thing we non-smokers can do to protect our health, our loved ones' health and the precious air we breathe is to help those we love and care about to kick the ugly nasty habit! It can be done and it MUST be done NOW! Let's help each other and work together to end this horrifying nightmare and keep fighting for clean, safe, healthy fresh smoke-free air!

Hello and Update

Dear Readers,
I'd like to take this opportunity to say hello and connect with my fellow readers. I'm doing my best to update the blog as often as I can with new and even innovative information and current event reports. I would like to commend President Obama for his bold courageous action of signing the recent anti-tobacco bill to protect children. I would also like to commend all those hard-working bold courageous advocates and activists who are working very hard to educate the public on this horrifying heinous insidious addiction! The book, "Smoke Screen," was written to educate the public and be a strong eye opener to the pandemic that spreads across the nation and the globe and knows no boundaries. It does not discriminate against race, creed, heritage, age, beliefs, values, or shape or size of any person. This addiction destroys families, people's lives, hurts and causes severe damange to the environment and the wildlife. I welcome and invite readers to share their thoughts and post their comments and suggestions. Thank you for your support. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
